ALBANIA

Arta, Albanian heart

In the ancestral lands of Albania, where the mountains kiss the sky and the
Adriatic Sea embraces the coast, Arta was born, the daughter of a long lineage
of Illyrian warriors and sages.

From a young age, Arta showed a supernatural connection with the land. She could hear the whispers of the wind in the forests of Valbona and feel the heartbeat of the nation in the crystalline waters of Lake Ohrid.

His journey of transformation began during Festa e Zanave, the former
fairy festival. While dancing to the hypnotic sound of the lahuta, Arta
went into a trance. In that mystical moment, she received a vision of Rozafa, the
legendary Albanian woman who sacrificed herself to build an impregnable castle.

Guided by this vision, Arta embarked on a pilgrimage to the sacred places of Albania. She meditated in the ruins of Apollonia, bathed in the thermal waters of Bënjë and climbed Mount Tomorr, where the ancient Illyrian gods are said to still dwell.

On the peak of Tomorr, during a full moon night, Arta underwent her final transformation. Black wings like those of the two-headed eagle sprouted from her back, and a golden halo, reminiscent of Skanderbeg's crown, encircled her head. She became the living embodiment of the Albanian spirit.

As the archangel of Albania, Arta became the guardian not only of the territory,
but of the Albanian soul. She traveled the world, appearing in dreams and
visions for Albanians in the diaspora, reminding them of their roots and
inspiring them to keep the flame of their heritage alive.

In the darkest hours, Arta appeared as a beacon of hope. During the
communist regime, she whispered words of comfort and resistance. In the
Kosovo war, its protective wings sheltered refugees. In
post-communist reconstruction, it inspired innovation and preservation
cultural.

Arta became a symbol of unity for all Albanians - from north to south, from Tirana to Pristina, from arbëreshë communities in Italy to Albanian neighborhoods in New York. She represented the resilience of a people who have survived empires, dictatorships and wars, always maintaining their unique identity.

Today, it is said that Arta can be seen flying over the Balkan mountains on full moon nights. Her singing, a mixture of traditional iso-polyphony and the war cries of the ancient Illyrians, echoes through the valleys, reminiscent of
every Albanian of their glorious heritage and unlimited potential.

The legend of Arta, the Albanian archangel, has become more than a story - it is
a living reminder of Albania's indomitable spirit, a call to every
Albanians honor their past while building a bright future. Where
Wherever there is an Albanian heart beating, Arta is there, guarding, inspiring and lifting her people to new heights.
